Wednesdays - 21:00 to 22:00
Involved in Nevis Radio since its birth, Jo has taken on a plethora of tasks - from chairing a steering group to cleaning the toilets - but took a while to get behind the microphone! Now she shares her passion for Americana music and singer-songwriters in her show every Wednesday night between 9 and 10 p.m.
Born in Inverness, and brought up on a hill-farm near Kingussie, Jo's a down-to-earth Highlander, proud of her homeland, its people and culture. But her musical tastes are all over the place: traditional, folk, classical, blues, world, indie, and, of course, Americana.
Living in Lochaber for over 30 years now, Jo currently works as a freelance development worker in the voluntary sector. Outside work and radio, she can be found curling with Lochaber Curling Club, walking, volunteering with Alzheimer Scotland, jogging unconvincingly, drinking good red wine and blethering.
